"Mai nome è stato più azzeccato per un'attività commerciale come la macelleria Strabontá. Più volte ho avuto il piacere di gustare la qualità delle carni e dei preparati come ad esempio i "cipollotti", pancetta di maiale arrotolata sui cipollotti, o anche la gelatina pura di maiale o quella mista con carne di vitello. Il pezzo forte è la salsiccia, ma ci sono anche tanti altri preparati che attendono di essere consumati."

"On my first day in Scicli, I decided it would be nice to make myself an evening appetizer featuring some local flavors. My Italian is terrible. I actually think I scared the men working there. The conversation initially went well, until they asked a question which I didn't understand. I started making small talk, and now I'm convinced they think I'm mentally retarded. I won't be returning. But, language barriers aside, the food is good and the products are quality. Gritty, fatty, salty. Rustic."
